For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to giveusthe light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. Butwe have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from Godand not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
Arise, shine; for your light has come. And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. ”For behold, darkness shall cover the earth and thick darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will be seen upon you. Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear;
