…a world in which truth takes shape through fantasy. Here, tales both ordinary and fantastic reveal the reality of God’s light, love, and purpose for each of us.
But, who is the scribe?
Step into the imagination of a woman who has never forgotten how to dream like a child, whose first calling was to teach, and who has learned the necessity of relying on the strength of Christ rather than her own ability.
Words shaped Bridgett’s world from the begining. They gave her surroundings definition, her steps direction, and her spirit determination. While her love of stories rapidly poured more gems into her treasure chest of words, one word was forbidden entrance — “can’t”.
The battle to overcome the challenges of impaired vision left no room for such a word.
In its place, dwelt the words which became her lifelong motto: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
Later, that scripture took on a deeper meaning when a life-altering illness robbed her of physical strength and the ability to walk in her original calling. Her search for renewed purpose led her back to the love of words and stories which had never truly left her heart. For the full story, visit Bridgett’s Tale.
God showed her His Light shines brightest through cracked lanterns.
Since, she has embarked on a quest to string her collected gems together in tales that enlighten, encourage, and empower. Her picture book, What Is Color, enlightens readers to the beauty which lies beyond our natural senses and often escapes a first glance. In her fantasy trilogy, encouragement is found in learning we are not alone in our brokenness, but are empowered with purpose through God’s strength.
Bridgett currently lives and writes in the Minneapolis area. She serves in the children’s ministry at her church and acts as co-leader and writing coach for a local Christian writer’s group.
