About the Scribes

about page 2

…a world in which truth takes shape through fantasy. Here, tales both ordinary and fantastic reveal the reality of God’s light, love, and purpose for each of us.

Rebecca & Bridgett

But, who are these scribes?

Bridgett Powers

me easter 4Step into the imagination of a woman who has never forgotten how to dream like a child, whose first calling was to teach, and who has learned the necessity of relying on the strength of Christ rather than her own ability.

Words shaped Bridgett’s world from the beginning, but the battle to overcome the challenges of impaired vision and chronic illness left no room for one particular word, “can’t.” For the full story, enjoy Bridgett’s Tale.

Standing on her lifelong motto: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13), she has embarked on a quest to pen tales that enlighten, encourage, and empower. Her picture book, What Is Color, enlightens readers to the beauty which lies beyond our natural senses and often escapes a first glance. In her fantasy trilogy, encouragement is found in learning we are not alone in our brokenness, but are empowered with purpose through God’s strength.

Bridgett currently lives and writes in the Minneapolis area. She serves as co-leader of a local Christian writer’s group and is a freelance editor and writing coach.
